Robbo here. But will this go up?

  1. First!

Robbo this is one of your best ever. I love the.minimalism, Beckett, the only Nobel prize winner for literature to appear in wisden would approve

I think your message is ... robbo is here, reassuring like, a voice from the clouds, a sporting godly perhaps and will it go up, biro maybe (no it wont) or the resurrection of godots son, crucified, like hodgson at fulham....._MICHAEL JACKSONS BLACK OR WHITE ARMY! .

    ReplyDelete
  2. that post makes perfect sense except I wrote biro instead of boro which just makes it all read like nonsense

  3. In the final tomorrow I'm rooting for the reviled underdogs

  15. Laterz blogs.

I have now recieved 3 emails from the so called help desk and have been asked to fill in the same form 3 times, yet they say that they're not sure if I'm me.

    Talk about an identity crisis.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I feel like Dr Who, all regeneratated.

Whoever stole my old account, good luck to you. I hope you win a dream holiday in a competition that you didn't even enter, allowing you to mix it up with the jet set and get to swim with porn stars in a beautiful lagoon.........

where an organism shall swim up your urine canal and lay eggs in your undersized penis.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wow. It's over. Must feel like it did after the Bay of Pigs - sudden build up of tension between east and west, lots of envoys doing work behind the scenes to avert disaster, lots of distrust from both sides, and a small subplot played out on a neutral blog - albeit one with a strong Pet Shop Boy bias.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It was chaos Noel, our brave lads were forced to the far reaches of the interwebby, taken on a trip to East European sites, a dead man walking, the Beeb and indeed a PSB orientated one. Casualties on both sides (I lost my original account, damn it) but luckily, truth, justice and the comic book hero way prevailed.

I wonder what will happen on the next Friday the 13th?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anyways better get back down to the bar, the other half gave me a break, but I'll have to be downstairs to close up in a bit.

    Boooiiinnng.

    ReplyDelete
  21. OK, had to get here through my own dashboard, Robbo's is still unavailable to me through google or bookmark.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They say adversity brings us closer together. That was proven true with the problems on here recently. Two favourite bloggers kissed and made up which was great news. Now all that's needed is GazUtd to return so I can bury the hatchet.

    ReplyDelete
  23. H2, you are always a very literate poster (more than can be said for me) but posting as anon you excelled yourself... maybe I should try it myself

    ReplyDelete
  24. Please explain to me how you managed to contact Bloggers helpdesk, H2... I have been shunted around until I don't know my arsehole from my elbow. At the moment I have grey matter seeping out of my ears... I can't afford to l;ose any of that stuff, believe me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The euphoria of having reached this page is causing me to post one lot of drivel after another, I should turn off blogger but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find my way back.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Just read your analysis of the blog, Blog. Very succinct. I have to admit your comment on biro threw me until I read your following post.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Controversial Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has vowed to change his ways to justify the faith placed in him by boss Roberto Mancini.
    =========================================================

Yeah, right. There's more chance of Wenger buying a couple of experinced players next season than Balotelli changing his ways

    ReplyDelete
  28. I blame Facebook. I reckon having been busted for hiring a PR lot to slander Google for fear of them setting up a rival social networking site they've employed a bunch of hackers to cripple everything here.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anyway, cup final day ... go Stoke :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. And Ebbsfleet United as they're in the playoff final to get back into the Conference :)

  36. Gave up trying to send you money Blog, kept missing a digit out in the middle

    ReplyDelete
  37. Speaking of sending money to far flung places,I got a letter sent to the shop from a Hong Kong bank telling me I was entitled to 50% of $15.5 million.

    Trebles all round.

Had one of my Millers fans in this morning.

I had to remove all the sharp instruments out of the shop.

Not easy trying to cut someone's hair with a spoon, but in fairness it looked better than my usual.

  41. Bo/H2 I read somewhere that the problems on Blogger were due to a maintenance update that went badly wrong, they had to roll it back and restore an older more stable version, our personally inadequate polish hasn't-got-a-dad pal just picked the blog up opportunistically and then behaved as his autism dictated.

As you say Bo the good thing is jacks back with his unique trichological world view

    ReplyDelete
  42. Porto striker Hulk has insisted he is open to making a move to the Premier League with Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool all interested in signing him. But the Brazilian has said he will only come to a club challenging for the title.
    ------------------------------------------
So he won't be going to Tottenham, Newcastle or Liverpool then.

    Morning all.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Jacks there was no sole about, its tonight thru to Sun Lunch
    rest day preparing for it

    see u laters

    ReplyDelete
  44. tone I am glad that Micky is back, faute de mieux

As you imply what worries me that like Lots wife leaving somdom, (or was it the other one er sheffield) or Morpheus escaping the underworld (sheffield, again) it might not be possible to look back in football management

I don't know, kenny has managed it hasn't he, but that was after 20years ..time for everyone to forgive him for leaving (can't be bothered to check why he did leave) and time for the legend to grow.

After 20 weeks i think a lot of us maybe the players too are still thinking, well you dropped us right in the shit last time Micky

Confidence is a soap bubble ain't it, let's hope he keeps his intact.

    ReplyDelete
  45. King Kenny (c) left Liverpool for two reasons Blogidy.

    A)Couldn't grow a 'tache
B)Couldn't get his hair permed properly

    ReplyDelete
  46. I always thought confidence was a monthly product for laydees?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Jacks my mum lives just over the hill in Ford green road ... do you know that warren of coronation street back to backs with fantastic names like Saturn rd, Jupiter street, Andromeda street, like the builders were thinking, how the fuck do we make this seem less shit than it really is. fantastic place to grow up, but poor preparation for a life in international diplomacy or high finance

    ReplyDelete
  48. Jacks! My favourite web-based barber. Good to see you back pal.

Come on Chels... bollocks. Come on Stoke!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Colch - and arsenal will only sign him if he turns back into Bruce bannner

    ReplyDelete
  50. So why exactly cant we raise Wembley with precision bombs today during the final?

apart from the financial costs, obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yep come on st ....

    Come on Sto.....

    Come on Ye Stok....

    Nah can't say it

  55. haha they've found bin ladens porn stash

    ReplyDelete
  56. I know where you mean Blogidy.Typical post industrial/mining housing.Mrs Jack grew up in something similar in Washington (CD,not DC)

There are still some tight terraced mining houses left in Cheadle.

I would think growing up in Saturn Street would be perfect preparation for a life in high finance,as they don't live in this world either.

    ReplyDelete
  57. For all the stuff Osama did, the killings, the hate, the misery brought on countless human families...... I just want to figure one thing out.

How the hell did he manage to keep the porn hidden while he was living with not one but 3 wives.

    Mastermind, Indeed.

  67. I'm trying desperately to come to terms with my daughters mac laptop... at least the stupid bloody mousepad anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Give the mouse a biscuit Bo,it'll behave then.

Eagles V Dockers today or tomorrow Bo?

    Go Eagles

    ReplyDelete
  69. Tomorrow mate... hopefully I'll be home to watch it.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The laptop is handy though, I can sit out on the verandah and have a smoke while I make silly comments.

    ReplyDelete
  71. can you guys get to Robbo's front page?

    ReplyDelete
  72. British industry should employ me to work here. Whenever I come to Robbo's everyone fucks off back to work.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Bo, Tell me one product from Apple which is good...

    ... (except Steve Jobs daughter)

    ReplyDelete
  74. What work??? It's Saturday.... Official weekend = No Work. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. GO STOKE
    ----------------
Are you kidding?? Nah, obviously not.

GO CITY (whichever one wins eventually)

    ReplyDelete
  76. GO MUMBAI INDIANS!!

Need to win to get back on top of table. Our last two matches have not been so good. Bowled out for less than 100 in a T20 match. A bit of Arsenal-like performance that was!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm back but not for long

Out to get summer bed linen, the one the Irish SAS missed(courtesy of HIGNFY)

    ReplyDelete
  78. SS... all Apple computers are good. I have a Mac desktop at home and prefer it to my PC... just don't like the mousepad on the laptop but that goes for all laptops IBM compats included

    ReplyDelete
  79. Is every weekend official SS or just this one?

    ReplyDelete
  80. G;day tone, how are things in the fatherland?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Bo, All weekends are officially off for bank employees ;)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Saturday is a working day for all employees other than bank workers?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Great article in the daily mail (spit) which credits pulls with single handedly regenerating and modernizing stoke and grinding the bnp into the political dust where they belong

My favourite bit it this though ....

... One of Stoke-on-Trent's six towns has not been gripped by FA Cup fever this week.
In Burslem - home of League Two Port Vale - they have their own problems. Recently, fans carried a coffin through the streets to a home game to protest at  the manner in which their club is run.
At Burslem's Duke William pub this week they were advertising a 'Pie and Real Ale' festival. At the nearby Red Lion there will be a Northern Soul night. No sign of the football, though.
'We will have it on in here,' smiled a barman in the Saggar Makers, opposite the fantastic little town hall. 'The manager is a Man City fan.

    Go Vale!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Blog, the bnp, how long have they been around over there. Are they the same mob that Mosely was head of back in the 50's

    ReplyDelete
  85. They are the new face of the National Front Bo.

Nick Griffin took over from the NF leader (forget his name) and tried to modernise and present a dignified front for the fascist twats.

We had 5 councillors in S-O-T after the 2009 local elections, but they've all gone.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Saggar Makers Bottom Knocker.

Possibly the finest phrase of them all.

    (It's a pots thing)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Cheers Jack. I can recall, vaguely, that Mosely (Oswald I think) was the head of some anti racist group back in the 50's. Just wondered if it was the same crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  88. There was a NAtional Front over here for a while, headed by some guy called van Tongeran. They incarcerated him for a few years and when they let him out he had quietened down... his aborigine cell mates must have had a word or two in his shell like.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Jack's off barbering, Blog's looking after fires, SS is enjoying his official weekend and Tone is off buying new summer sheets, which leaves this sad bastard looking after Robbo's.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm popping in too Bo.

As for your querey (tee hee)

I got to the "help" desk via my dashboard after failing to sign in. It didn't "help" one bit, unless "help" in google language = "annoy the fuck out of", in which case it was excellent.

As previously mentioned I just signed up for a new account, same name, different email address.

  92. What the hell are Blackburn doing, they're actually giving IOU a game?

We wouldn't have had any of that nonsense if Big Sam was still around.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I,m back now

Bo, all is well in D-land, except for headline in paper

Day of Madness, with a picture of the forehead and hair of Jedw....

    No I cant finish it

    ReplyDelete
  94. Kuszczak looks likes he's auditioning for a move to Arsenal, although the ball was over the byline before the cross which lead to the goal.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Blackpool captain Charlie Adam has admitted his side's Premier League future is still in the balance going into the last two games of the season.
    Full story: talkSPORT

    -----
And this years award for stating the bloody obvious goes to .........

    ReplyDelete
  96. And speaking of Blackpool, what on earth is going on?

4-3 and it could end up with anything.

    H2,like the Blackburn comment.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Indeed Jack, they've gone mad up there.

Rooneys just scored the goal that may give IOU the title, iffy penalty, Robinson a bit of a silly boy though.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I didn't think Blackburn would hold out for 90 minutes (although you never know)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Me neither, but then again I didn't think B'pool v Bolton would give us at least 7 goals or did East Europeans had the know how to hack web sites.

    It's a strange, strange world.

    ReplyDelete
  100. From the beeb;

1425: I love Ian Holloway. He's bringing on Brett Ormerod and James Beattie for Blackpool, two strikers, for Jason Puncheon and Gary Taylor-Fletcher, with his side leading 4-3 and desperately needing all three points. That's why the Premier League needs him.
    --
That's also probably why he won't be there next year.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Well done United, credit where credit is due, it's a massive achievement for SAF and he deserves all the plaudits.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Well done Un**ed and 'ol rednose.

    ReplyDelete
  103. That's one of hardest things I have had to type... it really hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Who is the wally in uniform shaking hands with anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  105. And the splinters are killing

Part of me says Potters as the underdogs
Part of me says ManCity, just to offset IOUs celebrations(congrats grudgingly)

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's all light blue in the first ten minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Well, that's the PL sewn up, tomorrow I'll turn my attention to the Ere Divisie, which reaches it's pretty tense climax, with the last round of games kicking off at 14:30.

    As it stands;

    Team P PTS
    1 FC Twente 33 71
    2 Ajax 33 70

Final game is Ajax v Twente, which was also the cup final last week (Twente won 3-2 AET)

Ajax is not so far away from here, so there's a few fans here in the village so I'll be opening up early for them. Should be exciting.

As for now, once again to the bar, my friends.

    Laterzzz.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Huth a bit lucky to be on the pitch after the elbow to the throat.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Penalty not given to Stole. Kompany handled the ball.

    ReplyDelete
  110. That would've been harsh, Bo

    ReplyDelete
  111. Looked a bit deliberate to me Tone.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'll be surprised if man city don't score by half time

    ReplyDelete
  113. Not looking good for Stoke at half time. They've been outplayed in the first half and arguably their best player (Pennant) may not be taking any further part in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Manchester City look much more dangerous.

Stoke very well organised, but not offering a lot.Etherington looks unfit, maybe sub him at h-t?

    ReplyDelete
  115. They can't put their passes together Jack and because they are outgunned in midfield they are resorting to the long ball.

    ReplyDelete
  116. True Bo.Stoke are playing with a very rigid set up,and seem to be rushing the ball when they get it.

See what they do to change it in the 2nd half.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Good save Hart. Stoke making a better fist of it so far in the second half.

    ReplyDelete
  118. City 1 Stoke 0... Toure scores

    ReplyDelete
  119. It was coming Bo.

They have been the better side.

Wouldn't be surprised if they get another.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I think it's fair enough to say the best team won on the day. And on that note, I'm hitting the sack.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Best team won in the end.

I dare say Manchester will be busy tonight.

    Congratulations to both of them.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Red and Blue day for Manchester

Well done City, Well done Utd

    ReplyDelete
  123. bad luck stoke well tried

but a horrible unenjoyable game of caveman football. they should have been playing with a severed human head

    ReplyDelete

  125. I know were supposed to be happy smiley camp ironic about it but I'd like to see them all tied to a glitterball and slowly tortured to death by Nigel farage

  126. bastards. I'm starting to enjoy it now.

this is what all euro elections should be like. someone might actually vote if they had some blonde with big tits reading out the results

shit were in danger of winning this.

  130. Dammit..a piss poor day for anything with a dislike for the manchester clubs. Well done to both team i guess, seeing as how the rest of you lot cant stop congratulating them.

  132. Year Zero at Eastlands then. Be carefull what you wish for, it didn't cheer up too many people in Cambodia when it happened

    ReplyDelete
  133. For Jack... great win to the Eagles today mate... won all over the ground, just about every quater.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Are you likening the Sheikh Mansour to Pol Pot MNR? You could be on to something there.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Maybe not quite as bad Bo, but I thought it was a bit misconcieved to hang these banners about though after their win.

If Thaksin Shinawatra was still in control he could be known as Pot Noodle.........

When did Cambodia win the FA Cup MNR?

    ReplyDelete
  137. Blimey, Spurs actually turned up to a game ... we might sneak into Europe yet :)

    ReplyDelete
  138. Bye bye West Ham. Got nothing against the team per se, but the wankers who are running them deserve it after the shit they've been pulling to undermine Grant all season.

    ReplyDelete
  139. An odd question to ask Colch. Cambodia have never won the FA cup.

I am talking about the 'Year 0' banners that Man City supporters hung out in retaliation to the Old Trafford Banner that states how long since there was a cup at Eastlands.

Which is what the Khymer rouge called their revolution and decimated their populaton ....................I doubt that was what meant...but I was still propped up by cocktails from the previous nights Eurov.......................

  140. You see, that's why I come to Robbo's blog. In between all the drivel you can occasionally learn something. Whether it's about blog's nan being the inventor of the helicopter or Cambodian history there's always someone here to teach you. And we even sometimes get a picture of boobs in the blog which is a bonus.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I'm glad I made the decision to go to bed early and not watch the gunners last night. Just need the season to end now. Next season it will improve... that's what I keep telling myself anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  142. The only good thing about the hammers going down is that Grant has finally been given the arse... Whoever they bring in to replace him can only be an improvement.

    ReplyDelete
  143. You must mean you learn stuff between my posts then Colch.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I had a five pund freaky twin accumulater on the Da silvas to win prem, chuckle brothers to win celebrity coach trip (both came up) but jedward you useless pair of pillicks you let me down in eurovision

  146. Job done for Ebbsfleet. Back into the Blue Square Premier and Kent's second best team.

    ReplyDelete
  147. On the downside, I left Haangeland out of my team this week. Fuck It! 21 fucking points he grabbed when I reckoned Fulham would get mullered by Brum.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I dropped Hangeland and Kevin Davies Star.

    26 points between them.

Still, luckily for me 2 of my starting XI didn't play,so I've got 26 points to step up off the bench.

    tee hee.

    ReplyDelete
  149. So Avram Grant gets the Spanish Archer from the porn baron and Alan Sugar's dolly.

Obviously he'll be very disappointed. That 20% discount he used to get at the massage parlour is right out of the window.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I have Bent to come off the bench for Luiz and give me 13 points. 50 points for the week and holding off NYC tynehoven to allow Ngog to build up on his lead and win the H2H league.

  151. Morning all.

    Bad week overall
    Man U win the title,
    Man C win the title
    Arsenal win F.A.
Mumbai Indians dropped to 3rd in the standings after 3 straight defeats

  152. G'day all

Jack the only good thing about the hammers going down is the sacking of Grant, something that should have been done months ago

    ReplyDelete
  153. Seems I wrote pretty much the same comment as the last one, a few posts back. Not only do I type drivel, I repeat it.

    ReplyDelete

I had a look at the report for the Eagles game.Seems like they dominated all the way through.

No wooden spoon this year then.

  157. It was great Jack... I know how a City fan feels when they beat Un**ed.

Mike is right mate, they held on to Grant for far too long. West Ham have taken the plunge but not the one they wanted.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Di Matteo went on the back of a run of results that coincided with West Brom having most of their defenders out injured. I reckon he could have kept them up.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Morning all.

Phew that was some weekend. Had a session 'till about 6am Sat/Sunday, and opened up early (12) to watch the last game of the Dutch season, Ajax v Twente, good game, Ajax victory, good drinky, me drunky, which kind of numbed the sences for the crappy Arse v Villa game.

Woke up this morning, a first for me on a Monday as I usually don't emerge until noon, to find I'm 10pts behind in my H2H game, I can feel the season slipping away. Luckily though all is not quite lost as I've still got Hart, Yaya and Huth to play..... (If they all get to start)

    ReplyDelete
  160. Star, I think almost anyone, other than Grant, could have kept the hammers up.

    ReplyDelete
  161. H2, like the Gunners, I've given up on this season in ffl, going buy big next season and mount a challenge... more than Wenger will do most likely.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I have a certain sympathy for Avram Grant.

He's been treated appallingly by West Ham,had no chance at Portsmouth thanks to them being skint, and was a poor penalty away from being a Champions League winner.

Didn't like hearing that Brady and Sullivan asked Dave Whelan to "provide them with a room" to fire Grant.

I'm not suggesting he's Sir Alf reincarnated, but it would be nice for him to get a decent crack of the whip for a change.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'm not so sure Bo, they've been teetering on the brink for quite a few seasons, all they needed was a shove. *cue Brady, Sullivan and Gold the porn pusher.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I didn't see the Arsenal Villa game yesterday, but the press report says Chamakhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh had a goal disallowed when there was nothing wrong with it.Is that fair?

Good win for Ajax as well (5-1 I think).

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think Grant was lucky to inherit the team at Chelsea and has done nothing with weaker teams that he has managed... as you can tell I don't like him.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I was fortunate enough to miss the game too Jack... decided bed was the better option.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I was making the case for why Di Matteo shouldn't have been sacked from West Brom Bo. ;)

Like him or loathe him, Grant really wasn't given much of a chance at West Ham with all that talk of getting a new manager behind his back and all.

That sort of shenanigans has fucked many a team up in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  168. It was 3-1 to Ajax Jack.

The Chamakh goal should not of been disallowed (imho), I had the feeling that many decisions went against us yesterday, but I suppose that's just gonna sound like sour grapes at this moment. Haven't checked out any reports yet, will have a look in a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Bloody hell... just had some car pass with the radio volume so loud the windows rattled... wonder if their ears rattle like that.

Booed off at the end of the game H2.

On the subject of losing your best players Bo,look at Liverpool minus Gerrard and Torres.

Maybe getting a decent price for the pair will be a good thing after all. It'll encourage your manager to buy in some players.

    ReplyDelete
  175. If it guarantees Wenger buying some experienced players Jack, I would accept that.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Arsenal fans were restless before the match began, I heard there were a few protests against the ticket price rise by 6% for next season.

Then our defence was shambolic for first 15 minutes. They should either play for offside trap or do man marking. Unfortunately, Squill and Sagna didnt do both. And Bent had all the time in the world to chest control and slot it home.

Then RvP hit one to the post and Ramsey had a penalty shout denied. It was a clear penalty.

Then Chamakh goal disallowed and Bendtner shown yellow for what??

Then Wenger shows his frustation on the water bottle.

There is no justice left, I tell ya.

    ReplyDelete
  177. I'm thankful that Liverpool and Spurs are not closer otherwise we may have been playing in the Europy thingy next season

    ReplyDelete
  178. From what I saw, the stadium was half empty at the final whistle, fans choosing to vote with their feet rather then booing, although they did voice their discontent at HT.

Cesc will probably want to go now, although he still has 4 years left on his contract, so he won't be cheap. Nasri on the other hand only has 12 mounths on his, which I think is a bit weird, Arsenal renew contracts everytime a player makes three straight passes, so to allow one of it's better players contracts to run down is bad business on their behalf.
I think there will be a major shake up in the off season, there has to be, too many are just not up to the grade. I'm kinda glad the season is over, if it went on any longer we might of been relagated.

    ReplyDelete
  179. There is a total lack of confidence there now H2... the end of season has come at the right time for us.

  182. Indeed, it's all been downhill since the CC final. 14 games with 3 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses, tells it's own story, and if it was one of the bedtime variety then it would give your kids bedwetting nightmares.

I sometimes wake up in a cold sweat screaming; "4 trophies, 4 trophies" ;p

    ReplyDelete
  183. Wenger thinks that going for all 4 Cups was the reason Arsenal ended up trophyless this season.

Idiotic comment. Why try to achieve more than what you could have?
